⁸Y Acaz tomó la plata y el oro que se hallaba en la casa del Señor y en los tesoros de la casa del rey, y envió un presente al rey de Asiria^(A). ⁹El rey de Asiria lo escuchó^(B), y el rey de Asiria subió contra Damasco y la tomó^(C), y se llevó a su pueblo al destierro en Kir^(D), y dio muerte a Rezín.

¹⁰Y el rey Acaz fue a Damasco a ver^[a] a Tiglat-pileser, rey de Asiria^(E), y vio el altar que estaba en Damasco; y el rey Acaz envió al sacerdote^(F) Urías el diseño^[b] del altar y su réplica, conforme a toda su hechura.

New International Version

⁸And Ahaz took the silver and gold found in the temple of the Lord and in the treasuries of the royal palace and sent it as a gift^(A) to the king of Assyria. ⁹The king of Assyria complied by attacking Damascus^(B) and capturing it. He deported its inhabitants to Kir^(C) and put Rezin to death.

¹⁰Then King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria. He saw an altar in Damascus and sent to Uriah^(D) the priest a sketch of the altar, with detailed plans for its construction.

⁸And Ahaz ^(A)took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the Lord, and in the treasuries of the king’s house, and sent it as a present to the king of Assyria. ⁹So the king of Assyria heeded him; for the king of Assyria went up against ^(B)Damascus and ^(C)took it, carried its people captive to ^(D)Kir, and killed Rezin.

¹⁰Now King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria, and saw an altar that was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the design of the altar and its pattern, according to all its workmanship.
