⁷ Then he went and sent word to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, “The king of Moab has broken away from me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?” And he said, “I will go up. ^[a](A)Consider me yours, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

² And the Lord sent against him ^(A)bands of Chaldeans, ^(B)bands of Arameans, ^(C)bands of Moabites, and bands of Ammonites. He sent them against Judah to destroy it, ^(D)in accordance with the word of the Lord which He had spoken through His servants the prophets.
