Mordecai Saves the King

²¹ During those days while Mordecai was sitting at the King’s Gate, Bigthan and Teresh, two eunuchs^(A) who guarded the king’s entrance, became infuriated and planned to assassinate^[a] King Ahasuerus.

¹⁴ While they were still speaking with him, the eunuchs of the king^(A) arrived and rushed Haman to the banquet Esther had prepared.^(B)

¹² For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb, there are eunuchs who were made by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves that way because of the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone accept this who can.”
