10 He answered, “You have asked for something that is difficult. If you see me taken away from you, then it will be yours. If not, then it will not be so.”
11 As they were walking along talking, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated them, and Elijah went up into the heavens in a whirlwind. 12 Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariot and horsemen of Israel!” And then he could not see him anymore. He took hold of his clothes and tore them apart.[a]

10 “You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not.”
11 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire(A) and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven(B) in a whirlwind.(C) 12 Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots(D) and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore(E) it in two.

10 Sinabi ni Elias, “Mahirap ang hinihiling mo. Pero, matatanggap mo ito kung makikita mo ako habang kinukuha sa harap mo, kung hindi mo ako makikita, hindi mo matatanggap ang hinihiling mo.”
11 Habang naglalakad sila na nagkukwentuhan, biglang may dumating na karwaheng apoy na hinihila ng mga kabayong apoy. Dumaan ito sa gitna nila na nagpahiwalay sa kanila, at biglang dinala si Elias papuntang langit sa pamamagitan ng isang ipu-ipo. 12-13 Nakita ito ni Eliseo at sumigaw siya, “Ama ko! Ama ko! Ang mga karwahe at mangangabayo ng Israel!” At hindi na niya nakita si Elias. Pagkatapos, pinunit niya ang kanyang damit bilang pagpapakita ng kalungkutan niya.
