³⁵ And with whom the Lord had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, ^(A)Fear none other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them:

³⁸ And forget not the covenant that I have made with you, neither fear ye other gods.

² Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not afraid for the ^[a]signs of heaven, though the heathen be afraid of such.
