11 and there they burned incense on all the high places as the nations did which Yahweh had taken away into exile before them; and they did evil things provoking Yahweh to anger. 12 And they served idols, (A)concerning which Yahweh had said to them, “You shall not do this thing.” 13 Yet (B)Yahweh warned Israel and Judah (C)by the hand of all His prophets and (D)every seer, saying, “(E)Turn from your evil ways and keep My commandments, My statutes according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by the hand of My slaves the prophets.”

11 At every high place they burned incense, as the nations whom the Lord had driven out before them had done. They did wicked things that aroused the Lord’s anger. 12 They worshiped idols,(A) though the Lord had said, “You shall not do this.”[a] 13 The Lord warned(B) Israel and Judah through all his prophets and seers:(C) “Turn from your evil ways.(D) Observe my commands and decrees, in accordance with the entire Law that I commanded your ancestors to obey and that I delivered to you through my servants the prophets.”(E)
