2 Kings 14:9-11

⁹ Then Jehoash, the king of Israel, sent to Amaziah, king of Judah, saying, “The thistle that is in Lebanon, sent to the cedar that is in Lebanon, saying, “Give your daughter to my son as a wife. And the wild beast that was in Lebanon went and trod down the thistle.

¹⁰ “You have struck Edom. Your heart has made you proud, bragging of glory. Wait at home. Why do you provoke hurt, so that you should fall, and Judah with you?”

¹¹ But Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash, king of Israel, went up. And he and Amaziah, king of Judah, faced one another at Beth Shemesh, which is in Judah.
