¹⁰ He responded, “You have asked a hard thing, yet if you see me as I am being taken from you, it will be granted you; if not, it will not.”

²⁴ Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.^(A)

²² Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.^{[a](A) 23} Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you.^{(B) 24} So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received^[b] it, and it will be yours.^(C)

¹² Elisha kept watching and crying out, “Father, father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” But when he could no longer see him, he grasped his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.^(A)

⁹ When he had said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.^{(A) 10} While he was going and they were gazing up toward heaven, suddenly two men in white robes stood by them.^(B)
