6 Si sufrimos, es para el consuelo y la salvación de todos ustedes. Igualmente, si tenemos consuelo es para consolarlos y darles fortaleza para enfrentar con paciencia los mismos sufrimientos que tenemos nosotros. 7 Confiamos totalmente en ustedes porque sabemos que así como comparten nuestro sufrimiento, también comparten nuestro consuelo.
8 Hermanos, queremos que sepan acerca de los problemas que afrontamos en Asia. Tuvimos que soportar una carga demasiado pesada para nosotros y estábamos tan desesperados que incluso perdimos la esperanza de seguir viviendo.

6 Sufrimos para que ustedes puedan ser consolados y reciban la salvación. Dios nos ayuda para que nosotros podamos consolarlos a ustedes. Así ustedes podrán soportar con paciencia las dificultades y sufrimientos que también nosotros afrontamos. 7 Confiamos mucho en ustedes y sabemos que, si ahora sufren, también Dios los consolará.
8 Hermanos en Cristo, queremos que conozcan los problemas y sufrimientos que tuvimos en la provincia de Asia. Fueron tan tremendos que casi no pudimos soportarlos, y hasta creímos que íbamos a morir.

6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation;(A) if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings,(B) so also you share in our comfort.
8 We do not want you to be uninformed,(C) brothers and sisters,[a] about the troubles we experienced(D) in the province of Asia.(E) We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself.
