²¹ He made the one who did not know sin^(A) to be sin^[a] for us,^(B) so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are,^(A) yet without sin.^(B)

²⁶ For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.^(A)

²¹ For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered^(A) for you, leaving you an example,^(B) that you should follow^(C) in his steps. ²² He did not commit sin,^(D) and no deceit^(E) was found in his mouth;^[a](F)

¹⁸ For Christ also suffered^(A) for sins once for all,^(B) the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God.^(C) He was put to death in the flesh^[a](D) but made alive by the Spirit,^[b]

²⁹ If you know that he is righteous, you know this as well: Everyone who does what is right^(A) has been born of him.^(B)
