31 The God and Father(A) of the Lord Jesus, who is blessed forever, knows I am not lying. 32 In Damascus,(B) a ruler[a] under King Aretas guarded the city of Damascus in order to arrest me. 33 So I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall and escaped from his hands.(C)

32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:
33 And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.
