14 In keeping with the ordinance of his father David, he appointed the divisions(A) of the priests for their duties, and the Levites(B) to lead the praise and to assist the priests according to each day’s requirement. He also appointed the gatekeepers(C) by divisions for the various gates, because this was what David the man of God(D) had ordered.(E) 15 They did not deviate from the king’s commands to the priests or to the Levites in any matter, including that of the treasuries.

16 All Solomon’s work was carried out, from the day the foundation of the temple of the Lord was laid until its completion. So the temple of the Lord was finished.

16 Thus was accomplished all the work of Solomon from[a] the day the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was completed.

14 Conforme a lo dispuesto por su padre David, Salomón asignó turnos a los sacerdotes para prestar su servicio. A los levitas los estableció en sus cargos para entonar las alabanzas y para ayudar a los sacerdotes en los ritos diarios. También fijó turnos a los porteros en cada puerta, porque así lo había ordenado David, hombre de Dios. 15 Y se obedecieron todas las órdenes del rey en cuanto a los sacerdotes y levitas, y aun en lo referente a los tesoros.

16 Toda la obra de Salomón se llevó a cabo, desde el día en que se echaron los cimientos del templo hasta que se terminó de construirlo. Así el templo del Señor quedó perfectamente terminado.
