¹¹ Now then, my father loaded you with a heavy yoke; yet I will add to your yoke. My father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with ^[a]scorpions!’”

¹⁴ He spoke to them according to the advice of the young men, saying, “^[a]My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to it; my father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with ^[b]scorpions.”

⁶ And as for you, son of man, you are ^(A)not to fear them nor fear their words, though ^(B)thistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; you are not to fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, since they are a rebellious house.

³ Then out of the smoke came ^(A)locusts ^[a]upon the earth, and power was given them, as the ^(B)scorpions of the earth have power.

¹⁰ They have tails like ^(A)scorpions, and stings; and in their ^(B)tails is their power to hurt people for ^(C)five months.
