¹⁷ Then Solomon went to ^(A)Ezion Geber and ^[a]Elath on the seacoast, in the land of Edom.

²² He built ^(A)Elath^[a] and restored it to Judah, after ^[b]the king rested with his fathers.

⁸ “And when we passed beyond our brethren, the descendants of Esau who dwell in Seir, away from the road of the plain, away from ^(A)Elath and Ezion Geber, we ^(B)turned and passed by way of the Wilderness of Moab.

³⁶ And he allied himself with him ^(A)to make ships to go to Tarshish, and they made the ships in Ezion Geber.

⁶ At that time Rezin king of Syria ^(A)captured ^[a]Elath for Syria, and drove the men of Judah from Elath. Then the ^[b]Edomites went to Elath, and dwell there to this day.

^48 (A)Jehoshaphat ^(B)made ^[a]merchant ships to go to ^(C)Ophir for gold; ^(D)but they never sailed, for the ships were wrecked at ^(E)Ezion Geber.

^26 (A)King Solomon also built a fleet of ships at ^(B)Ezion Geber, which is near ^[a]Elath on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom. ^27 (C)Then Hiram sent his servants with the fleet, seamen who knew the sea, to work with the servants of Solomon.

³⁵ They departed from Abronah ^(A)and camped at Ezion Geber.
