¹¹ Then they brought out the king's son and put the crown on him and gave him ^(A)the testimony. And they proclaimed him king, and Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and they said, ^(B)“Long live the king.”

²⁴ And Samuel said to all the people, “Do you see him ^(A)whom the Lord has chosen? There is none like him among all the people.” And all the people shouted, ^(B)“Long live the king!”

^16 (A)And you shall put into the ark the ^(B)testimony that I shall give you.

^12 (A)His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are ^(B)many diadems, and he has ^(C)a name written that no one knows but himself.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders ^(A)fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast ^(B)their crowns before the throne, saying,

⁴ Around the throne were ^(A)twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders, ^(B)clothed in white garments, with ^(C)golden crowns on their heads.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers, ^(A)has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be ^(B)rich in faith and heirs of ^(C)the kingdom, ^(D)which he has promised to those who love him?

^12 (A)Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive ^(B)the crown of life, ^(C)which God has promised to those who love him.
