¹⁹ And Abijah pursued Jeroboam ^(A)and took cities from him, Bethel with its villages and Jeshanah with its villages and ^(B)Ephron^[a] with its villages.

⁸ As soon as Asa heard these words, ^(A)the prophecy of Azariah the son of Oded, he took courage and put away the detestable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from ^(B)the cities that he had taken in ^(C)the hill country of Ephraim, and he repaired the altar of the Lord ^(D)that was in front of the vestibule of the house of the Lord.^[a]

⁹ Then the boundary extends from the top of the mountain ^(A)to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah, and from there to the cities of Mount Ephron. Then the boundary bends around to Baalah (^(B)that is, Kiriath-jearim).

⁵⁴ Jesus therefore ^(A)no longer walked openly among the Jews, but went from there to the region near the wilderness, to a town called Ephraim, and there he stayed with the disciples.

¹⁹ but do not stay there yourselves. Pursue your enemies; ^(A)attack their rear guard. Do not let them enter their cities, for the Lord your God has given them into your hand.”
