1 Paul, an apostle^(A) of Christ Jesus by the will of God,^(B) in keeping with the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus,^(C)

⁷so that being justified by His grace we would be made ^(A)heirs ^[a]according to the hope of eternal life.

⁷so that, having been justified by his grace,^(A) we might become heirs^(B) having the hope^(C) of eternal life.^(D)
