New International Version

¹⁰Anyone who loves their brother and sister^[a] lives in the light,^(A) and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.^(B)

1 John 2:10 The Greek word for brother and sister (adelphos) refers here to a believer, whether man or woman, as part of God’s family; also in 3:10; 4:20, 21.

¹⁰But whoever loves his brother is in the light. And there will be no reason to sin because of him.
