4 다윗은 레위 사람 몇을 뽑아 주의 궤 앞에서 주 이스라엘의 하나님을 섬기며, 그분을 기리고, 그분께 감사와 찬양을 드리게 하였다. 5 그 책임자는 아삽이며 그 밑에 스가랴, 여이엘, 스미라못, 여히엘, 맛다디아, 엘리압, 브나야, 오벳에돔, 여이엘이 있었다. 아삽이 심벌즈를 치면 이들은 하프와 수금을 탔다. 6 제사장 브나야와 야하시엘은 하나님의 계약궤 앞에서 정해진 시간에 나팔을 불었다. 7 그날에 처음으로 다윗은 아삽과 그의 친족들을 시켜 주께 감사의 찬양을 드리게 하였다.

1 Chronicles 16:4-7
New International Version
4 He appointed some of the Levites to minister(A) before the ark of the Lord, to extol,[a] thank, and praise the Lord, the God of Israel: 5 Asaph was the chief, and next to him in rank were Zechariah, then Jaaziel,[b] Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel. They were to play the lyres and harps, Asaph was to sound the cymbals, 6 and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests were to blow the trumpets regularly before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 That day David first appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise(B) to the Lord in this manner:

4 And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to record, and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel:
5 Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;
6 Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
