10 Скорбя душой, Анна горько плакала и молилась Господу. 11 Она дала обет, говоря:
– О Господь Сил, если Ты только посмотришь на горе Своей служанки и вспомнишь меня, если не забудешь Свою служанку, но дашь ей сына, то я отдам его Господу на всю жизнь, и бритва никогда не коснется его головы[a].
12 Пока она молилась Господу, Илий следил за ее губами.

10 In her deep anguish(A) Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. 11 And she made a vow,(B) saying, “Lord Almighty(C), if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember(D) me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life,(E) and no razor(F) will ever be used on his head.”
12 As she kept on praying to the Lord, Eli observed her mouth.
