1 Timothy 6:9-12
New American Standard Bible 1995
9 (A)But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and (B)a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10 For (C)the love of money is a root of all [a]sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have (D)wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
11 But (E)flee from these things, you (F)man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, (G)faith, (H)love, [b]perseverance and gentleness. 12 (I)Fight the good fight of (J)faith; (K)take hold of the eternal life (L)to which you were called, and you made the good (M)confession in the presence of (N)many witnesses.
