1 Timothy 1:8-14
New American Standard Bible 1995
8 But we know that (A)the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9 realizing the fact that (B)law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and (C)rebellious, for the (D)ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and (E)profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers 10 [a]and [b](F)immoral men [c]and (G)homosexuals [d]and (H)kidnappers [e]and (I)liars [f]and (J)perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to (K)sound teaching, 11 according to (L)the glorious gospel of (M)the blessed God, with which I have been (N)entrusted.
12 I thank (O)Christ Jesus our Lord, who has (P)strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, (Q)putting me into service, 13 even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a (R)persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was (S)shown mercy because (T)I acted ignorantly in unbelief; 14 and the (U)grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the (V)faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.
