1 Timothy 1:8-14

⁸ But we know that ^(A)the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, ⁹ realizing the fact that ^(B)law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and ^(C)rebellious, for the ^(D)ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and ^(E)profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers ^10 [a]and ^[b](F)immoral men ^[c]and ^(G)homosexuals ^[d]and ^(H)kidnappers ^[e]and ^(I)liars ^[f]and ^(J)perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to ^(K)sound teaching, ¹¹ according to ^(L)the glorious gospel of ^(M)the blessed God, with which I have been ^(N)entrusted.

¹² I thank ^(O)Christ Jesus our Lord, who has ^(P)strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, ^(Q)putting me into service, ¹³ even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a ^(R)persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was ^(S)shown mercy because ^(T)I acted ignorantly in unbelief; ¹⁴ and the ^(U)grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the ^(V)faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.
