6 From which things some men have erred, and be turned into vain speech; [From which things some erring, be turned together into vain speech;]
7 and will to be teachers of the law, and understand not what things they speak[a], neither of what things they affirm.
8 And we know that the law is good, if any man use it lawfully;

6 Some have turned from these teachings. They would rather talk about things that have no meaning. 7 They want to be teachers of the law. And they are very sure about that law. But they don’t know what they are talking about.
8 We know that the law is good if it is used properly.
