8 Sa aba natin! sino ang magliligtas sa atin sa kamay ng makapangyarihang mga dios na ito? ito ang mga dios na nanakit sa mga taga-Egipto ng sarisaring salot sa ilang.
9 Kayo'y magpakalakas at magpakalalake, Oh kayong mga Filisteo, upang kayo'y huwag maging mga alipin ng mga Hebreo, na gaya ng naging lagay nila sa inyo: kayo'y magpakalalake, at magsilaban.
10 At ang mga Filisteo ay nagsilaban, at ang Israel ay nasaktan, at tumakas ang bawa't isa sa kanila sa kaniyang tolda: at nagkaroon ng malaking patayan; sapagka't nabuwal sa Israel ay tatlong pung libong lalaking lakad.

8 We’re doomed! Who will deliver us from the hand of these mighty gods? They are the gods who struck(A) the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues(B) in the wilderness. 9 Be strong, Philistines! Be men, or you will be subject to the Hebrews, as they(C) have been to you. Be men, and fight!”
10 So the Philistines fought, and the Israelites were defeated(D) and every man fled to his tent. The slaughter was very great; Israel lost thirty thousand foot soldiers.

9 Be strong and quit yourselves like men, O ye Philistines, that ye be not servants unto the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight.
10 And the Philistines fought, and Israel was smitten, and they fled every man into his tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for there fell of Israel thirty thousand footmen.
