⁴² Then ^(A)Abigail got up quickly, and rode on a donkey, with her five female attendants who ^[a]accompanied her; and she followed the messengers of David and became his wife.

⁴³ David had also taken Ahinoam of ^(B)Jezreel, and ^(C)they both became his wives.

⁴⁴ But Saul had given his daughter ^(D)Michal, David’s wife, to Palti the son of Laish, who was from ^(E)Gallim.
