³⁷ Then, in the morning, when the wine had gone out of Nabal, his wife told him those words. And his heart died within him. And he was like a stone.

³⁸ And about ten days later, the LORD struck Nabal, so that he died.

³⁹ Now when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, “Blessed be the LORD, Who has judged the cause of my rebuke of the hand of Nabal and has kept His servant from evil! For the LORD has repaid the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head!” Also, David sent to commune with Abigail, to take her as his wife.
