¹³As the proverb of the ancients says, ‘^(A)Out of the wicked comes forth wickedness’; but my hand shall not be against you. ¹⁴After whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom are you pursuing? ^(B)A dead dog, ^(C)a single flea? ¹⁵^(D)The Lord therefore be judge and decide between ^[a]you and me; and may He see and ^(E)plead my cause and ^[b]deliver me from your hand.”
