⁴ Then a champion named Goliath, from Gath,^(A) came out from the Philistine camp. He was around 2.8 metres^[a][b] tall ⁵ and wore a bronze helmet and bronze scale armour that weighed fifty-seven kilograms.^{[c] 6} There was bronze armour on his shins, and a bronze javelin^(B) was slung between his shoulders.
