³⁵ “And I went out after him and struck him and took it out of his mouth. And when he arose against me, I caught him by the beard and struck him and killed him.

³⁶ “So, your servant killed both the lion and the bear! Therefore, this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he has railed on the army of the living God!”

³⁷ Moreover, David said, “The LORD, Who delivered me out of the paw of the lion and out of the paw of the bear, He will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.” Then Saul said to David, “Go! And the LORD be with you!”
