9 Saul and the troops spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, goats, cattle, and choice animals,[a] as well as the young rams and the best of everything else. They were not willing to destroy them, but they did destroy all the worthless and unwanted things.
10 Then the word of the Lord came to Samuel, 11 “I regret that I made Saul king,(A) for he has turned away from following me and has not carried out my instructions.”(B) So Samuel became angry and cried out to the Lord all night.(C)

10 Then the word of the Lord came to Samuel: 11 “I regret(B) that I have made Saul king, because he has turned(C) away from me and has not carried out my instructions.”(D) Samuel was angry,(E) and he cried out to the Lord all that night.

11 It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the Lord all night.
