¹⁸ Now David fled and escaped, and he came to Samuel at ^(A)Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and lived at Naioth.

¹⁷ Then he would return to ^(A)Ramah, for his home was there, and there also he judged Israel. ^(B)And he built there an altar to the Lord.

¹⁶ Therefore, ^(A)confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, ^(B)that you may be healed. ^(C)The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.^[a]

³ Now ^(A)Samuel had died, and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him ^(B)in Ramah, his own city. And Saul had put ^(C)the mediums and the necromancers out of the land.

³⁴ Then Samuel went ^(A)to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house in ^(B)Gibeah of Saul.
