⁴ I brought you up out of Egypt^(A)
    and redeemed you from the land of slavery.^(B)
I sent Moses^(C) to lead you,
    also Aaron^(D) and Miriam.^(E)

⁴¹ He opened the rock,^(A) and water gushed out;
    it flowed like a river in the desert.

⁶ Moses^(A) and Aaron^(B) were among his priests,
    Samuel^(C) was among those who called on his name;
they called on the Lord
    and he answered^(D) them.

¹⁹ Your path^(A) led through the sea,^(B)
    your way through the mighty waters,
    though your footprints were not seen.

²⁰ You led your people^(C) like a flock^(D)
    by the hand of Moses and Aaron.^(E)

¹³ The Lord used a prophet to bring Israel up from Egypt,^(A)
    by a prophet he cared for him.^(B)

¹¹ Then his people recalled^[b] the days of old,
    the days of Moses and his people—
where is he who brought them through the sea,^(O)
    with the shepherd of his flock?^(P)
Where is he who set
    his Holy Spirit^(Q) among them,
¹² who sent his glorious arm^(R) of power
    to be at Moses’ right hand,
who divided the waters^(S) before them,
    to gain for himself everlasting renown,^(T)
13 who led^(U) them through the depths?^(V)
Like a horse in open country,
    they did not stumble;^(W)
14 like cattle that go down to the plain,
    they were given rest^(X) by the Spirit of the Lord.
This is how you guided your people
    to make for yourself a glorious name.

²⁶ He sent Moses^(A) his servant,
    and Aaron,^(B) whom he had chosen.^(C)
