¹⁸ And she said, ^(A)“Let your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then the woman ^(B)went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.

¹³ Then she said, ^(A)“I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, for you have comforted me and spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not one of your servants.”

¹³ May the God of hope fill you with all ^(A)joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Enjoy Life with the One You Love

⁷ Go, ^(A)eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.

^6 (A)do not be anxious about anything, ^(B)but in everything by prayer and supplication ^(C)with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. ⁷ And ^(D)the peace of God, ^(E)which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

²⁴ Until now you have asked nothing in my name. ^(A)Ask, and you will receive, ^(B)that your joy may be full.

¹⁵ So Esau said, “Let me leave with you some of the people who are with me.” But he said, “What need is there? ^(A)Let me find favor in the sight of my lord.”

⁸ Esau said, “What do you mean by ^(A)all this company^[a] that I met?” Jacob answered, ^(B)“To find favor in the sight of my lord.”

⁵ I have oxen, donkeys, flocks, male servants, and female servants. I have sent to tell my lord, in order that ^(A)I may find favor in your sight.’”
