²⁰ For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But ^(A)if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God.

¹⁷ For ^(A)it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.

¹⁸ For Christ also ^(B)suffered^{[a] (C)}once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, ^(D)that he might bring us to God, being put to death ^(E)in the flesh but made alive ^(F)in the spirit,

¹³ But rejoice ^(A)insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad ^(B)when his glory is revealed.

¹⁶ Yet ^(A)if anyone suffers as a ^(B)Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God ^(C)in that name.
