⁵ And so I intend to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, ^(A)as the Lord said to David my father, ‘Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, shall build the house for my name.’

¹² “Concerning this house that you are building, ^(A)if you will walk in my statutes and obey my rules and keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, ^(B)which I spoke to David your father.

^19 (A)Nevertheless, you shall not build the house, but your son who shall be born to you shall build the house for my name.’

^10 (A)He shall build a house for my name. ^(B)He shall be my son, and I will be his father, and I will establish his royal throne in Israel forever.’

⁶ He said to me, ‘It is ^(A)Solomon your son who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
