¹⁰ Then David rested with his ancestors^(A) and was buried in the city of David.^(B)

²⁹ ‘Brothers and sisters, I can confidently speak to you about the patriarch David: He is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.^(A)

²² After removing him,^(A) he raised up David as their king and testified about him, “I have found David the son of Jesse to be a man after my own heart,^[a](B) who will carry out all my will.”
