⁴ but he went on a day’s journey into the wilderness. He sat down under a broom tree^(A) and prayed that he might die. He said, “I have had enough! Lord, take my life,^(B) for I’m no better than my ancestors.”

³ And now, Lord, take my life from me,^(A) for it is better for me to die than to live.”^(B)
