³¹ and said to Jeroboam, “Take ten pieces for yourself! For thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hands of Solomon and will give ten tribes to you.

³² ‘But he shall have one tribe for My servant David’s sake, and for Jerusalem the city, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel,

³³ ‘because they have forsaken Me and have worshipped Ashtoreth, the god of the Sidonians, and Chemosh, the god of the Moabites, and Milcom, the god of the Ammonites, and have not walked in My ways (to do right in My Eyes and My Statutes and My Laws) as David his father.
