21 Y oyendo Hadad en Egipto que David había dormido con sus padres, y que era muerto Joab general del ejército, Hadad dijo a Faraón: Déjame ir a mi tierra. 22 Faraón le respondió: ¿Por qué? ¿Qué te falta conmigo, que procuras irte a tu tierra? Él respondió: Nada; con todo, te ruego que me dejes ir.
23 Dios también levantó por adversario contra Salomón a Rezón hijo de Eliada, el cual había huido de su amo Hadad-ezer, rey de Soba.

New International Version
21 While he was in Egypt, Hadad heard that David rested with his ancestors and that Joab the commander of the army was also dead. Then Hadad said to Pharaoh, “Let me go, that I may return to my own country.”
22 “What have you lacked here that you want to go back to your own country?” Pharaoh asked.
“Nothing,” Hadad replied, “but do let me go!”
23 And God raised up against Solomon another adversary,(A) Rezon son of Eliada, who had fled from his master, Hadadezer(B) king of Zobah.
