^26 (A)Now therefore, O God of Israel, let your word be confirmed, which you have spoken to your servant David my father.

²⁵ And now, O Lord God, confirm forever the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, and do as you have spoken. ²⁶ And your name will be magnified forever, saying, ‘The Lord of hosts is God over Israel,’ and the house of your servant David will be established before you. ²⁷ For you, O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have made this revelation to your servant, saying, ‘I will build you a house.’ Therefore your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you. ²⁸ And now, O Lord God, you are God, and ^(A)your words are true, and you have promised this good thing to your servant. ²⁹ Now therefore may it please you to bless the house of your servant, so that it may continue forever before you. For you, O Lord God, have spoken, ^(B)and with your blessing shall the house of your servant be blessed forever.”

³⁶ Then ^(A)the nations that are left all around you shall know that I am the Lord; I have rebuilt the ruined places and ^(B)replanted that which was desolate. ^(C)I am the Lord; I have spoken, and I will do it.

³⁷ “Thus says the Lord God: This also ^(D)I will let the house of Israel ask me to do for them: ^(E)to increase their people like ^(F)a flock.

^5 (A)that I may confirm the oath that I swore to your fathers, ^(B)to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as at this day.” Then I answered, “So be it, Lord.”

⁹ O Lord God, ^(A)let your word to David my father be now fulfilled, for you have made me king over a people as numerous ^(B)as the dust of the earth.
