“What is it you want?” the king asked.

²³ When Abigail saw David, she quickly got off her donkey and bowed down before David with her face to the ground.^(A)

The king replied, “Make it, my mother; I will not refuse you.”

²³ And the king was told, “Nathan the prophet is here.” So he went before the king and bowed with his face to the ground.
