¹⁵ And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

⁹ And I tell you, ^(A)ask, and ^(B)it will be given to you; ^(C)seek, and you will find; ^(D)knock, and it will be opened to you. ¹⁰ For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

²⁴ Therefore I tell you, ^(A)whatever you ask in prayer, ^(B)believe that you ^(C)have received^[a] it, and it will be yours.

¹⁸ We know that ^(A)everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but ^(B)he who was born of God ^(C)protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

¹⁹ We know that we are from God, and ^(D)the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come and ^(E)has given us understanding, so that we may know ^(F)him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and ^(G)eternal life.

¹² Can one break iron, iron ^(A)from the north, and bronze?

^13 (B)“Your wealth and your treasures I will give as ^(C)spoil, without price, for all your sins, throughout all your territory.
