Discendenza di Beniamino

Beniamino generò Bela suo primogenito, Asbel secondo, Achiràm terzo, Noca quarto e Rafa quinto. Bela ebbe i figli Addar, Ghera padre di Ecud, Abisua, Naaman, Acoach, Ghera, Sepufàn e Curam.

A Gheba

Questi furono i figli di Ecud, che erano capi di casati fra gli abitanti di Gheba e che furono deportati in Manàcat. Naaman, Achia e Ghera, che li deportò e generò Uzza e Achiud.

In Moab

Sacaràim ebbe figli nei campi di Moab, dopo aver ripudiato le mogli Cusim e Baara. Da Codes, sua moglie, generò Iobab, Zibia, Mesa, Melcam, 10 Jeus, Sachia e Mirma. Questi furono i suoi figli, capi di casati.

A Ono e Lidda

11 Da Cusim generò Abitùb ed Elpaal. 12 Figli di Elpaal: Eber, Miseam e Semed, che costruì Ono e Lidda con le dipendenze.

Ad Aialon

13 Beria e Sema, che furono capi di casati fra gli abitanti di Aialon, misero in fuga gli abitanti di Gat. 14 Loro fratelli: Sasak e Ieremòt.

A Gerusalemme

15 Zebadia, Arad, Ader, 16 Michele, Ispa e Ioca erano figli di Beria. 17 Zebadia, Mesullàm, Chizki, Cheber, 18 Ismerai, Izlia e Iobab erano figli di Elpaal. 19 Iakim, Zikri, Zabdi, 20 Elienài, Silletài, Elièl, 21 Adaià, Beraià e Simrat erano figli di Simei. 22 Ispan, Eber, Eliel, 23 Abdon, Zikri, Canàn, 24 Anania, Elam, Antotia, 25 Ifdia e Penuèl erano figli di Sasak. 26 Samserài, Secaria, Atalia, 27 Iaaresia, Elia e Zikri erano figli di Ierocàm. 28 Questi erano capi di casati, secondo le loro genealogie; essi abitavano in Gerusalemme.

A Gabaon

29 In Gàbaon abitava il padre di Gàbaon; sua moglie si chiamava Maaca; 30 il primogenito era Abdon, poi Zur, Kis, Baal, Ner, Nadàb, 31 Ghedor, Achio, Zeker e Miklòt. 32 Miklòt generò Simeà. Anche costoro abitavano in Gerusalemme accanto ai fratelli.

Saul e la sua famiglia

33 Ner generò Kis; Kis generò Saul; Saul generò Giònata, Malkisùa, Abinadàb e Is-Bàal. 34 Figlio di Giònata fu Merib-Bàal; Merib-Bàal generò Mica. 35 Figli di Mica: Piton, Melech, Tarea e Acaz. 36 Acaz generò Ioadda; Ioadda generò Alèmet, Azmàvet e Zimrì; Zimrì generò Moza. 37 Moza generò Binea, di cui fu figlio Refaia, di cui fu figlio Eleasà, di cui fu figlio Azel. 38 Azel ebbe sei figli, che si chiamavano Azrikàm, Bocru, Ismaele, Searia, Abdia e Canan; tutti questi erano figli di Azel. 39 Figli di Esek suo fratello: Ulam suo primogenito, Ieus secondo, Elifèlet terzo. 40 I figli di Ulam erano uomini valorosi e tiratori di arco. Ebbero numerosi figli e nipoti: centocinquanta. Tutti questi erano discendenti di Beniamino.

The Genealogy of Saul the Benjamite(A)

Benjamin(B) was the father of Bela his firstborn,

Ashbel the second son, Aharah the third,

Nohah the fourth and Rapha the fifth.

The sons of Bela were:

Addar,(C) Gera, Abihud,[a] Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,(D) Gera, Shephuphan and Huram.

These were the descendants of Ehud,(E) who were heads of families of those living in Geba and were deported to Manahath:

Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera, who deported them and who was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.

Sons were born to Shaharaim in Moab after he had divorced his wives Hushim and Baara. By his wife Hodesh he had Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malkam, 10 Jeuz, Sakia and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of families. 11 By Hushim he had Abitub and Elpaal.

12 The sons of Elpaal:

Eber, Misham, Shemed (who built Ono(F) and Lod with its surrounding villages), 13 and Beriah and Shema, who were heads of families of those living in Aijalon(G) and who drove out the inhabitants of Gath.(H)

14 Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth, 15 Zebadiah, Arad, Eder, 16 Michael, Ishpah and Joha were the sons of Beriah.

17 Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber, 18 Ishmerai, Izliah and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.

19 Jakim, Zikri, Zabdi, 20 Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel, 21 Adaiah, Beraiah and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.

22 Ishpan, Eber, Eliel, 23 Abdon, Zikri, Hanan, 24 Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah, 25 Iphdeiah and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.

26 Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah, 27 Jaareshiah, Elijah and Zikri were the sons of Jeroham.

28 All these were heads of families, chiefs as listed in their genealogy, and they lived in Jerusalem.

29 Jeiel[b] the father[c] of Gibeon lived in Gibeon.(I)

His wife’s name was Maakah, 30 and his firstborn son was Abdon, followed by Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner,[d] Nadab, 31 Gedor, Ahio, Zeker 32 and Mikloth, who was the father of Shimeah. They too lived near their relatives in Jerusalem.

33 Ner(J) was the father of Kish,(K) Kish the father of Saul(L), and Saul the father of Jonathan, Malki-Shua, Abinadab and Esh-Baal.[e](M)

34 The son of Jonathan:(N)

Merib-Baal,[f](O) who was the father of Micah.

35 The sons of Micah:

Pithon, Melek, Tarea and Ahaz.

36 Ahaz was the father of Jehoaddah, Jehoaddah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth and Zimri, and Zimri was the father of Moza. 37 Moza was the father of Binea; Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son and Azel his son.

38 Azel had six sons, and these were their names:

Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

39 The sons of his brother Eshek:

Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second son and Eliphelet the third. 40 The sons of Ulam were brave warriors who could handle the bow. They had many sons and grandsons—150 in all.

All these were the descendants of Benjamin.(P)
