¹²Yamang naghahangad kayo sa mga kaloob ng Espiritu, sikapin ninyong sumagana kayo sa mga kaloob na makakapagpatibay sa iglesya.

¹³Dahil dito, kailangang manalangin ang nagsasalita ng iba't ibang mga wika na bigyan din siya ng kaloob na makapagpaliwanag nito. ¹⁴Kung nananalangin ako sa wikang iyan, nananalangin nga ang aking espiritu ngunit hindi nakikinabang ang aking pag-iisip.

¹²Even so you, since you are ^[a]zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the ^[b]edification of the church that you seek to excel.

¹³Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may ^(A)interpret. ¹⁴For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.
