I had to talk to you as I would to ·people without the Spirit [unspiritual/carnal/fleshly people]—·babies [infants] in Christ. ² ·The teaching I gave you was like milk [^LI gave you milk to drink], not solid food, because you were not yet able to take solid food [^Cthe comparison is between basic and advanced teaching]. And even now you are not ready.
