34 Women should be silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak but should be subordinate, as the law also says.(A) 35 If there is something they want to learn, let them ask their husbands at home.[a] For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.[b] 36 Or did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only ones it has reached?

I desire, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument, also that the women should dress themselves in moderate clothing with reverence and self-control, not with their hair braided or with gold, pearls, or expensive clothes, 10 but with good works, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God. 11 Let a woman[a] learn in silence with full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman[b] to teach or to have authority over a man;[c] she is to keep silent. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve,(A) 14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.(B) 15 Yet she will be saved through childbearing, provided they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.
