²⁸ And God has ^[a](A)appointed in ^(B)the church, first ^(C)apostles, second ^(D)prophets, third ^(E)teachers, then ^[b](F)miracles, then ^(G)gifts of healings, helps, ^(H)administrations, and various ^(I)kinds of tongues. ²⁹ All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of ^[c]miracles, are they? ³⁰ All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not ^(J)interpret, do they? ³¹ But ^(K)earnestly desire the greater gifts.

And yet, I am going to show you a far better way.

⁵ So then, does He who ^(A)provides you with the Spirit and ^(B)works ^[a]miracles among you, do it by works of ^[b]the Law, or by ^(C)hearing ^[c]with faith?
