²⁶ For as often as you eat this bread and drink from this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

²⁷ Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks from the cup in an unworthy manner will be held responsible for the Lord’s body and blood. ²⁸ A person must examine himself and then eat the bread and drink from the cup,
