1 Corinthians 10:6-20
New American Standard Bible 1995
6 Now these things happened as (A)examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as (B)they also craved. 7 Do not be (C)idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “(D)The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to (E)play.” 8 Nor let us act immorally, as (F)some of them [a]did, and (G)twenty-three thousand fell in one day. 9 Nor let us try the Lord, as (H)some of them [b]did, and were destroyed by the serpents. 10 Nor (I)grumble, as some of them [c]did, and (J)were destroyed by the (K)destroyer. 11 Now these things happened to them as an (L)example, and (M)they were written for our instruction, upon whom (N)the ends of the ages have come. 12 Therefore let him who (O)thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and (P)God is faithful, who will not allow you to be (Q)tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
14 Therefore, my (R)beloved, flee from (S)idolatry. 15 I speak as to wise men; you judge what I say. 16 Is not the (T)cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the [d](U)bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ? 17 Since there is one [e]bread, we (V)who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one [f]bread. 18 Look at [g]the nation (W)Israel; are not those who (X)eat the sacrifices sharers in the altar? 19 What do I mean then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or (Y)that an idol is anything? 20 No, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they (Z)sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons.

Ephesians 4:20-32
New American Standard Bible 1995
20 But you did not (A)learn [a]Christ in this way, 21 if indeed you (B)have heard Him and have (C)been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, 22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you (D)lay aside the (E)old [b]self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the (F)lusts of deceit, 23 and that you be (G)renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and (H)put on the (I)new [c]self, which [d](J)in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
25 Therefore, (K)laying aside falsehood, (L)speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are (M)members of one another. 26 (N)Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and do not (O)give the devil [e]an opportunity. 28 He who steals must steal no longer; but rather (P)he must labor, (Q)performing with his own hands what is good, (R)so that he will have something to share with [f]one who has need. 29 Let no [g](S)unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for (T)edification [h]according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. 30 (U)Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, [i]by whom you were (V)sealed for the day of redemption. 31 (W)Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be (X)put away from you, along with all (Y)malice. 32 (Z)Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, (AA)just as God in Christ also has forgiven [j]you.

Mark 7:20-23
New American Standard Bible 1995
20 And He was saying, “(A)That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, [a]fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, 22 deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, [b](B)envy, slander, [c]pride and foolishness. 23 All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.”
