¹⁶ But I did baptize the ^(A)household of Stephanas also; beyond that, I do not know if I baptized anyone else. ^17 (B)For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, ^(C)not with ^[a]cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made of no effect.

¹⁸ For the word of the cross is ^(D)foolishness to ^(E)those who ^[b]are perishing, but to us who ^[c]are being saved it is ^(F)the power of God.
